Citalopram Hbr 20 Mg Tablet Effects

I recently received a refill from my mail order pharmacy for Citalopram HBR tablets, 20 mg. The first prescription I had were pink oval tablets, but this next one was round white tablets, the size of a 325mg bayer aspirin. Embossed on the tablet, from what I can make out is, WP1 3177. Is the same type of drug or could it be the wrong prescription??

This is the same medication and same dosage, just made by a different company that your last fill. Many pharmacies end up switching which one they carry according to what company had the cheapest available when they needed to restock.

Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and sweating.

I was taken off lexapro and put on citalopram hbr 20mg. After being on the generic antidepressent I started feeling sad, depressed, anxious and generall down in the dumps. Why?

My Doctor has change my prescription from Pristiq to Citalopram. She says there will be not difference in effects it has for me other than the price. I am still unsure?

After taking 20mg Citalopram for about 2.5 to 3 wks, excessive yawning began -- it was more funny than bothersome. Then about a week later, I came confused, rather dizzy, disoriented and thinking was a pain. My assistant noticed it. I stopped for one day and my mental condition improved. I then took 1/2 pill and the mild stupidity returned. I then took 1/2 pill ant night so I would be stupid while asleep. It worked rather well, but I am down to 1/2 one day and none the next. I see my doctor tomorrow. Being stupid is more dangerous to my well being than depression.

At first when taking citalopram 20mg i didnt like them but it helps a lot and my nerves are under control.

I checked the side effects reported on Medline Plus and it does list "uncontrollable shaking of a part of the body" as one of the possible side effects. I'd definitely let your doctor and/or pharmacist know.
