Citalopram 40 Mg To 20 Mg

My boyfriend has been taking Citalopram HND 40 mg for about 2 years and the doctor refilled it for 20 mg. No discussion on the change amount was made. Plus the pills look completely different.

Did he ask his doctor about the change? It might have been a mistake.

The FDA warns that this medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood changes.

Sometimes, such issues are just due to an honest mistake, because doctors tend to be so very busy.
