Circulation Problems With Dilaudid
Updated19 months ago I was hospitalized for about a week with pancreatitis and was on dilaudid for the pain. After the hospital, I was on hydrocodone for about a month with the pain, then Tramidol. About 9 months ago, I was hospitalized again with pancreatitis for about 5 days, then hydrocodone for about 3 weeks. I also had repeat attacks last October (not hospitalized, on the hydrocodone fur about two weeks) and again last month (also not hospitalized, also hydrocodone). Also, docs have no idea what is causing the pancreatitis, or what triggers attacks. In between attacks, if pancreas starts acting up with pain, tylonal time released will usually take care of the pain. But ever since that initial experience, and with every other attack in the pancreatitis, every time for months afterwards, I am hyper sensitive to cold, and it gets worse after every time. I have good blood pressure, and have not had this issue before, and was wondering if there may be some kind of side effect from the dilaudid I was given at the hospital and this intense cold (especially in the feet)? My blood pressure is normal and so is my blood sugar. Any suggestions or input?

Hello, Buster! How are you?
No, if that was a side effect of the medications, it would only last for a few days after your last dosage, it wouldn't keep occurring all the time.
Are you certain that it's pancreatitis?
The reason I'm asking is because I had a very similar experience and they kept telling me it was pancreatitis, but it actually turned out to be gastritis and a few months of antacids solved the problem. It can cause elevated pancreatic enzymes, just like pancreatitis.
Do you ever get acid reflux, heartburn or sour stomach?
