Cipro Vs Bactrim
UpdatedWhich might be a better antibiotic and cause less stress on your liver?

Hello, Mike! How are you?
Generally, Bactrim is the most problematic antibiotic, overall, not just for any possible effect on the liver. It tends to be much more harsh, since it is a sulfa based antibiotic, so it usually causes a lot more side effects and many more allergic reactions than others. It's also very rough on the kidneys and can easily cause dehydration.
Thus, if you have a choice, you might want to try Cipro first and save the Bactrim as a last resort, if others don't work. I rarely tell anyone to take it as their first option.
Typical side effects to Cipro may include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
Is there anything else I can help with?
