Unless you've been instructed otherwise, it is usually best to take it in the morning, that way it can help control your blood pressure and heart rate during the times of day you will be most active and experiencing the most fluctuations, according to NIH reports.

The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry cough, increased urination, and hypotension.
