i found a blue round pill with E 72 on one side and nothing on the other. Can anyone help identify this pill? ## Based on the description provided, I believe the blue pill you have is called Lovastatin (20 mg); manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals Inc. Lovastatin is an inhibitor of 3-hydroxy-3methylglutaryl-coenzyme A reductase (HMG-CoA reductase), an enzyme which catalyzes the conversion of HMG-CoA to mevalonate. Mevalonate is a required building block for cholesterol biosynthesis and lovastatin interferes with its production by acting as a reversible competitive inhibitor for HMG-CoA which binds to the HMG-CoA reductase. i went to the doctors because of pain in both of my legs. the doctor said i had a high creatin level. said that it probley was the zocor and took me off the zocor. has any one heard of this happening? ## It is warned about in the severe side effects section of the Zocor prescribing information, the part that says if you experience this, see your doctor immediately. So yes, it could be from the Zocor, it will take awhile to get it out of your body system, but then once you are clean from it, you should see an improvement in your pain, if you don't then you will want to see your doc again ASAP! i take simstatin for 2 years after heart attack but when i have been sat down or driven a car for a while i find i can hardly put one foot inj front of the other for a few minutes?is this va side affect ## I had a heart attack last August and have been taking Simvastin. LIBIDO & PREXUM PLUS & ZOCOR Hi would the above two drugs affect a man's libido? ## Although decreased sex drive is not specifically listed as a side effect of either of those medications, it is suggested that fatigue as well as disturbances of mood/sleep may be. So those could tie into libido. Have you noticed a change since starting on those medications? Can anybody give explanation on the side effects of Modlip AM eslo D tablets. ## Modlip contains the active ingredient Simvastatin. As to an explanation of side effects, I don't think anyone can really give you that, why drugs cause certain side effects on some people is not really know.
