Cholesterol Medication Replacement/substitue

currently on 20mg crestor however benefits have runout and can't afford meds is there any over the counter drug or vitiamin which can replace this? Please advise thanks

Unfortunately, no, there is isn't.

Have you spoken to your doctor about an alternative? There are generics available for some cholesterol medications, which would be a lot cheaper. However, I am unsure of the specific ones that are available in Canada.

You can also check with the manufacturer to see if they offer an assistance program for it to their Canadian users.

It is manufactured by AstraZeneca and they offer several great programs in the U.S. for people without coverage.
