Chlortab Or Levaquin Side Effects

Recently the same day, I started taking 2 medicines. ChlorTabs (4mg/3-4 times daily) and Levaquin (500mg 1/day). Simultaneously, I began having backache around the kidneys - first time. Did 1 of meds caused this? which one?

Yes. Almost certainly this was a result of the Levaquin, which can have side effects that range all the way from minor to disabling. See the page on Side Effects of Levaquin to see why if you ever have a choice of antibiotics, you should always choose to have a drug that is not in the Fluoroquinolone family of antibiotics. They are very dangerous. And now that you have had a reaction to one, you should avoid all of the drugs in this class of antibiotics forever unless you have a life threatening illness than can't be solved without these drugs. You've proven to be sensitive to them and that they can cause you problems. Taking them another time could be devastating.
