Some adverse reactions reported during therapy with chlor-diazepoxide hydrochloride include isolated instances of skin eruptions, edema, minor menstrual irregularities, nausea and constipation, extrapyramidal symptoms, as well as increased and decreased libido. Such side effects have been infrequent and are generally controlled with reduction of dosage.

Other side effects may include: dryness of the mouth, blurring of vision, urinary hesitancy and constipation.

That said, there doesn't appear to be any side effects related to changes in blood pressure; except possibly changes in libido or menstrual irregularities. If it looks like your blood pressure is going to become a problem, I would suggest contacting your doctor about lowering the dose or switching medications.

diverticulosis..an attack can just manifest it self from nowhere. Can it be spiced food, acidic foods,? The medication Librax does definetly ease the pain from cramps. but takes a long time. I also experience dry. cotton mouth,which if I drink liquids hot or cold will cause cramps to worsen. sometimes the attack is gone in a day, but recently last longer, 2 full days. I hesitate to take the meds. that long. Is it ok to continue med while I have the cramps....I am a senior citizen and do not wish to waste my days in discomfort and pain,and keep my family from having a good day......is there any new information for me to prevent attacks or stop it quickers???
