What are you taking the HCTZ to treat?

If you have high blood pressure, then you may not be able to take the Chlorpheniramine. Many antihistamines can raise blood pressure and heart rate, so they may not be safe for you.

Have you consulted your doctor?

Another option would be to look for something such as Coricidin HBP, there are several formulations of it available and the HBP is used to specifically denote them as being safer for those with hypertension.
