Chest Tightness

I've taken lexapro about five years ago for about a year or so and had no problems. I started back taking lexapro and I'm having chest tightness. I've stopped taking and chest feels better. I had only been on Lexapro for about 10 days and only taking half of 10mg. I tried the 10mg and it was too much for me.Thought I would gradually go back to the 10mg but the chest tightness started.M

That is actually something that you will need to discuss with your doctor in regards to possible Lexapro alternatives. However I believe chest tightness is one of the possible side effects of this drug. I would personally advise to stay well hydrated, drinking lots of water throughout the day and see if that makes any difference.

It sounds like your body is just more sensitive to it now and therefore it is reacting in its own way by being more susceptible to the side effects. I've read a lot of good reviews about this drug and that it has very little side effects, so it is rare to hear about any difficulties with it.
