Are there any discount coupons for this product or how expensive is it?
Call your insurance, most cover all or very low co-pays. We have Aetna and we had $0 co-pay!
I started Chantix two weeks ago and i am down to one cigarette and i am craving a cigarette right now. This is not a miracle drug but it decreases your urge for nicotine. the only side effect i have are vivid dreams not scary dreams. I have smoked since i was 14 I am 60 so one cig is very good for me. I am sure i will be gaining weight and i hate that but better than killing myself with these cigarettes. Good luck to everyone
Don't throw away they are the same be white take it then wait a few hours then take the other one than you are back on schedule, just do not throw it away!!
Start taking two and you'll be taking two of the blue ones in your second pack okay too luck!
It works I'm on my second pack so I'm in my third week, I slipped up and it was not a good thing newport taste so bad it was a waste of my money,so i went back where I was started taking chanik and I'm not smoking so besides my slip it works trust in it and your desire to quit and it will work for you!
Kaiser charges members only $30.00.
The cost of chantix is $303.60 my insurance paid $299.00 and I paid $3.60.00 I had no idea it cost so much, however its working I'm on day 13 and I smoked up until day 12 that's when they started tasting nasty so I'm on day two without a CIG and the crazy part of it I didn't think it was going to work this time either and it is,what it is doing is keeping the craving away that's what's making it work and if you want to stop you can trust me with chanix igts a slow process but it works with your patience let it get into your system and you'll see and taste, feel it working try it give it a chance!!!
I just wanted to say that I stopped smoking with chantix on Sept 13, 2008. Its almost been a year since my last smoke. So thankful. Used to smoke 30 cigs a day for 14 years.
I had surgery about 3 weeks and and I was told I needed to stop smoking. I took it into consideration and paid $145.00 for this medication. It didn't do too much for me except make me EXTREMELY constinpated which was very painful considering I had my insides moved around. I've decided to just stop smoking on my own I refuse to pay $145.00 for the next 6 months. Congrats to all who have stopped and good luck to those who are trying.
say if i forgot to take the morning pill and remembered that night would i take them both or throw the other one away.
#1) I haven't started this yet. I'm still waiting to hear of any Long Term side effects.
#2) Since many of us have made the tobacco industry so RICH over the years, THEY should pay for the prescription to help individuals get off of their addicting, cancer causing product.
Try Tabex its 1/10 the price and only slightly less effective. Also it’s a natural compound. Evidence would indicate its safe as animals feed on the various plants the product is derived from Google Cytisine and check out Wickpedia.
After two weeks of taking the medication, I no longer had the desire to smoke. I've been smoke free for 5-weeks.
Nothing will MAKE you stop smoking, however, if you have the desire to quit this drug will without a doubt help you in your efforts.
As far a the price, I paid 130.00 and insurance didn't cover it. Do the math though, how much are you paying for cigarettes per month?? It's worth every dime...
If you are by chance with Kaiser, My doctor order them for me. I pay 20.00 for each boxs. Check it out
The problem that I have is the crazy dreams that I have since taking Chantix. Not scary, just like a melodrama going on in my head and very vivid. I finally had to ask my doctor for a mild sleeping pill so that I wasn't waking up every couple of hours. He gave me a scrip but said it won't stop the dreams and he was right but at least I am sleeping through the night. 44 days smoke free for me and still can't believe how easy it has been!
I am going to start Chantix - I am excited and nervous. I am wondering if anyone takes it before bedtime? Does it interfer with sleep?
Also Drug's Like these? i have Learned you have to help them help you as well !! , Note that if you will !!
They Say any drug of the same , anyone can take , However as i believe in that saying, as i am Learning and reading some of the Posting's here? i am DAY 18 of Chanix and still smoking , However Just not as Much , i have My weak Points to fight .and maily One is COFFEE..and After i eat!! And as far as mine being Paid for i have Well i am on medicare..( disablity isues ) and My Ins that i have covers 99% of the Rx cost i ony Pay out of Pocket $5.36 no matter what drug i get and Sams as someone typed ISNT the cheapest ...WALMART is your best's way to go Like i did
You can aslso ask you pharmacy to fill your perscription in WEEKLY DOSES this way it lowers the price and you just pay about $30 a week.
The cost of the drug is actually cheaper than a months worth of cigarettes. I committed to quitting for one month, after the first week on Chantix I didn't even want to smoke. I have had this script for 4 months I'm upset I didn't get it filled sooner. This is by FAR the easiest way to quit smoking and the price is worth it. They keep raising cig prices and we keep paying it.
