I was prescribed recently wellbutrin xl 150. After 2 weeks and good effects such as waking up easy and alert, feeling"lifted" my psych. chose to up the dose to 300. I have been on this for 1 week my side effects arent as good example- drowsy and harder to wake up- not having that same lift as with 150. How long should I wait before I request changing back to 150?

When raising the dosage, it is normal to experience more side effects, even if you weren't really having any before.

They usually last about 4 to 6 weeks, which is the same time it usually takes for the medication to reach its full effectiveness in your body. They should reach their peak in that time frame and then start to taper off. If they don't, or if they get a lot more severe, you should definitely talk to your doctor.
