UpdatedIs it ok to change time of taken Coumadin from am to pm?

I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with switching the dose from AM to PM. According to rxlist.com, the anticoagulant effect of Coumadin persists beyond 24 hours.
So if a patient misses a dose of Coumadin at the intended time of day (AM), the patient should take the dose as soon as possible on the same day. The patient should not double the dose the next day to make up for a missed dose.
I hope this info helps to answer your question!
