Had nerve burns 17 days ago c3 c6. After a week severe pain. Taking 10-325 hydrocodones. Went to emergency and was prescribed the 6 day dospak. Took 4 total this evening so far. Side effect has been sweating and slight fever, 98,5. Are these side effects? Also pharmacist said I could continue my paid meds. Also I take sucralfate got my stomach issues. I hope these ease the pain.

Hello, Sparkey! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain.

The FDA classifies Methylprednisolone as a steroid class medication, thus, I believe the intention here is to have it reduce the inflammation that may be contributing to your pain.

Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, insomnia, weight gain, fluid retention and acne.

Yes, you may also experience sweating and hot flashes, as side effects.

However, 98.5 is not a fever, since 98.6 is normal.

Are they helping?
