Cephalexin For Chlamitia

Can cephalexin cure chlamitia and can you take it if your allergic to anything ending in cillin?

Cephalexin is generally not among the first choice treatments, since there are other antibiotics that are known to work faster to treat it.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

However, it may work, but you should only take it, if it has been prescribed to treat it by your doctor.

And yes, it is in a different antibiotic class, but that doesn't necessary mean that you may not be allergic to it, as well. Usually those who are allergic to one medication have a higher risk of finding they allergic to others.
