3 REPLIES UpdatedHas anyone experienced this symptom: Seven days after starting Celebrex, I developed a tender spot at the end of one toe -- very sensitive to touch and slightly red and swollen. A week later it has spread to other toes, either near the tip (to the left or right of the nail) or on the "knuckle" pinky toe and the one next to it. There seem to be small blisters too. This could be unrelated to the Celebrex and I've been reluctant to stop taking it (my neck and back pain have been greatly muted by the medication). ## It has been known to cause skin reactions in some people that take it, though it hasn't been very common. 1 REPLY UpdatedI used Celebrex for post dental surgery pain. After a few days of use, I suffered acute pansinusitis (all sinuses were infected and blocked), and after a week of use, I suffered a breakout of urticaria (skin rash) over most of my body. Not such pleasant side effects. And it cost me some days out of work. When the Celebrex worked, it worked well, but unfortunately the side effects are cause for concern. Studying the leaflet, I discovered that there a wide range of possible side effects, so whatever system/s are weak in your body (skin and sinuses in my case) get affected first. Be careful to all. ## Why didn't they give you some hydrocodone (Vicodin) for the pain and take OTC Aleve for anti-inflammatory. No bad side effects with those two.
