Should I double up on probiotics when taking cefpodoxime to protect my digestive tract?

The FDA lists the typical side effects of Cefpodoxime as possibly including nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.

As to the probiotics, while they can help, there is always a risk of taking too much of a good thing, thus it is best to stick with the normal dosage, if you are going to take one. Recent NIH studies have found complications in people that are overusing them.
