I was recently cleaning out my medication drawer and found cefixime and azithromycin medications in it. They belong to my husband. I thought it was weird that only 3 tablets had been taken from each pack. What would he be taking these for?

These are both antibiotics that are used to treat various types of bacterial infections.

The FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Is there anything else I can help with?
