Hello, Anna! How are you?
Unfortunately, with the stricter regulations that were put in place last year, most doctors are going to be very reluctant to prescribe controlled substances on a long-term ongoing basis for an uninsured patient. The reason being that it makes it much easier for someone to doctor and pharmacy hop.
If you did get a doctor to prescribe, most pharmacies won't fill them for cash paying patients, anymore, due to the pharmacy hopping reason. It's far harder to control and keep track of the prescriptions of someone that's paying cash, as opposed to someone with insurance.
Do you have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, they might be able to refer you to someone that can help.
Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area that might be more understanding about someone not having insurance?
There is no pharmacy or doctor hopping/shopping in Ohio that's for sure! 2016 There is a state monitoring system. Insurance-cash or not.Once you fill any narcotic prescription at one pharmacy theres NO WAY your filling another one any time soon. FYI
That's the truth oxymorphone 30mg er are going for 60-70 $ in these areas I just figured I'd just stock pile due to how many times these companies change there formula and prices. At least I know what I get works and gives me a way of life
