Carbidopa Levodopa With Food Or Antacid

Do I have to give this to my mom before food or an antacid pill?

Hello, Robert! How are you?

This medication should be taken by itself a half hour to an hour, before eating. Proteins in food and the antacid pill may affect the absorption of it.

Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, and headache.
