Carbamazepine Is Causing Low Sodium.
UpdatedI use carbamazepine for trigeminal neuralgia since 1999. Last couple of years have tested low for sodium. Are there equivalent drugs without this side effects

There are several others that you can try, include Neurontin and Lyrica. They are also anticonvulsants that have been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain. Typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes.
What has your doctor suggested? How low is your sodium?
