Cannot Find Kadian 10mg - Doc Is Out Of Town

I've been working to reduce my reliance on pain medications with my doctor's help. I've been able to come down from 200mg morphine sulfate to 15mg MS Contin. The doctor said he was happy where I was but I wanted to try and go further. He wrote a script for 10mg Kadian since a lesser dose of MS Contin wasn't available. Unfortunately, my doc's son died suddenly and he's away. I cannot find a pharmacy that is able to fill this prescription. I live in a metro area. He had said if I had trouble filling it thinking my insurance might not cover it to call him and he'd write the script for my old dosage of MS Contin. He's not available and will be out approx. 2 months. He came in to write this month's scripts for his patients but his staff neglected to mention to him my quandry so he wrote me another script for the 10mg Kadian. Do they not make this dosage anymore? No pharmacy will provide me information since you know we who rely on pain meds are criminals.

Hi Glenn! Is there a doctor covering for him? Is there a pharmacy in another town you can go to? Most pharmacies won't tell you over the phone if they have narcotics in stock due to the thieft. You would have to go in personally. Worse case sanerio, if you are in withdrawals because you can't get the prescription filled, go to the emergency room with the prescription and explain your situation.
