I have started using the canesten cream with the applicator and on the second night of use I have notice slight blood after I pulled out the applicator.I actually went deeper that usual (about half way up) my tummy/abdomen now hurts a bit. How concern should I be and is this normal

Yes, that can be a normal side effect, according to the NIH, although it is always best to inform your doctor, to be sure.

Other side effects are listed as possibly including redness, itching, and irritation.

Has there been any change? How are you doing, now? Are you on any other medications?
