As long as your doctor has approved it, then yes. Subutex does not contain the Naloxone, like Suboxone does, which would neutralize the Methadone that may cause dangerous precipitated withdrawals.

As listed by the NIH: This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

First hand experience, because I don't with this on my worst enemy, but I take methadone and has been out and so I took subutec and about hour later, got hotflashes pouring swear, body shaking, using bathroom on my self because couldn't hold it, I was in emergency room next hour. . It had thrown me into precipitated withdrawals! Please do not ever do it it is hard for your family to watch you lay crying dreaming cramping couldn't quit jerking and moving and shaping it was by wmfar worst thing ever happened to me

No you CAN NOT take subutex. The buprenorphine causes the worst withdraws you will ever feel if you are on methadone. Trust me. I did this last night. I take 85 mgs of methadone everyday. I took 4 mgs of subutex not suboxone last night. In about 20 mins I went into the worst withdraws I have ever experienced. I will spare you the details. But let's just say I had alot to clean up in the morning. I literally felt like I was in hell. And I took a half of a little white round subutex with no blocker. Assuming like you that the blocker is what would make me sick. Wrong!!!. I hope anyone considering trying this will read this first. I wouldn't wish what I felt on my worst enemy.
