I just started taking birth control and it's been about 3 weeks now! My boyfriend came in me today. Coul I be pregnant? Help !!! Also I'm still bleeding

Did you start taking it on the first day of your period? If so, then you were immediately protected from pregnancy, because it prevents ovulation from occurring, unless you missed any pills.

If you started later during your period, or at some other part of your cycle, then it becomes effective after 7 days.


The bleeding can be a normal side effect, due to your body needing to get used to the hormones in these contraceptives, but you should consult your doctor to be certain.

Yes I started the moment I saw that I was bleeding! I haven't been taking it at the exact same time though because I wasn't aware. I did take them in the morning but not at the same time everyday. But I have been doing for a week at 9:45 every morning !
