Can One Teaspooon Of Hydrocodone In Cough Meds By Out Of System In 55 Hours?

I have been sick for a few days with mild bronchitus. Two nights ago around midnight (out of desperation) I took 1-1/2 teaspoons of my wife's cough medicine that has a mixture of hydrocodone which was the only thing that stopped my cough. I did not take any more but am now worried that I could possibly fail a drug test if given one at work. I have worked on my job for 25 years and random drug tests are given and I know my time should be coming soon. I am a 50 year old male who weighs 220 lbs...any chance the traces of this cough medicine will be out of my system in 55 hours??

Do you happen to know what the dosage is of the cough syrup?

Hydrocodone is usually detectable in urine for approximately 4 to 5 days after last dosing, however, there are many individual factors that are going to come into play, such as your metabolism, overall health, activity levels, the amount actually ingested and etc.

The dosage of the cough medicine is one teaspoon every 12 hours and I took a single dose of 1.5 teaspoons and took no more.
I am a healthy and active male and work out 3 times a week.

I never take ne thing n I fell n hurt myself my ankle which I have screws in n take nothing for well I took a teaspoon of hydrocodone syrup fri n just tested today tues at 5 will it show up

48 hrs is plenty of time for 50 ml of 5mg hydro syrup to clear system. Be sure to drink lots of fluids and you will be fine.
