Can Insomnia Cause Paxil Withdrawal Symptoms?

i'e been on Paxil (20 mg)for about 2 years to calm menopausal hot flushes. It's worked like a charm, and given me wonderful sleeps. However, after an emotional trauma, I had one sleepless night, and suddenly, all the symptoms of Paxil withdrawal have appeared. I feel thirsty all the time and my head feels like I'm having mild electric shocks, together with dizziness and nausea. I tried to explain this to a pharmacist, here in Mexico, where I'm on holiday. She didn't know what I was talking about. Any feedback on his would be appreciated.

Hello, Rachelle! How are you doing? Are you feeling any better?

That is very odd. Insomnia can cause those types of issues, but they certainly shouldn't be ongoing.

Will you be back in the states soon to consult your doctor about the issue?
