Can Dr Go To Jail

I've been wondering if a dr can be jailed for writing prescriptions for narcotics over a period of time ?I cant find mine

No, not just for writing them, there would have to be more involved under current DEA laws, such as deliberately over prescribing, prescribing inappropriately, prescribing to known traffickers, abusers or addicts; and etc.

But no doctor will ever be jailed for writing prescriptions in good faith, based upon what they thought was best for the patient.

Is there anything else I can help with?
