Can Different Brands Of Carisoprodol Work Differently? (Page 2) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI have been using soma/carisoprodol for many years. Usually the paharmacy gives me generic from Watson or Qaulitest. Last time I got the meds it was manufac. by Carimax. It didn't work as well. Do different brands work differently?
My medication insurance requires me to use CVS, Walmart or Sam's. So I started using CVS and Walmart and noticed that the last 2 scripts were not what I was used to taking. So I discussed with my doctor and he told me to use a major grocery store, like Kroger, Safeway, HEB, etc. I had my script filled at Kroger and it was the real deal. Only thing, insurance wouldn't cover it but that's OK, worth every penny. He actually called the RIS brand bathtub drugs.
Is there any way to tell by the brand names? That way I could avoid the lesser dosage.
I also got the same ones. They're big and chalky. No euphoric feeling. They just made me sleep. The ones that work better, from the blister pack , is Carisoma. Smaller and not as brittle.
The DANS 5513 are the Best and most effective. I've never heard of speers ? What do the pills look like? Where are you located ? The U.s.?
911HELP: I think it is actually either Spier or Speir. Yes, I am in the US. I don't have them anymore so I can't tell you EXACTLY what they looked like, but they were round and white like Somas usually are.
I have been taking carisopodol 350 mg 2410 mfg qualitest, from cvs. Recently i had a refill, and the prescription of the same mg, didn't have the same affect the numbers on the pills were 949. They really upset my stomach and did not have the same effect as the prescription with 2410 did. Can you tell me the difference between the two? After 3 weeks i found 3 of the 2410 in my emergency pill box. The effect was definitely different than the brand with 949. can you help please?
Just tried Watson with dan and 5513 imprinted. it is the closet to qualitest I've tried. Ris and sun are no good replacement for qualitest soma
Activas bought out Watson. There is no difference in the medication.
To those who have found Soma with the word DAN wrote on one side - could you share as to where you are getting those from. There is a difference and the other generics don't work and often leave me with a headache.
Please advise.
Thanks in advance,
Mel
Yes!!" The best ones are the ones that have DAN one one side. The rest of them you have to take 2 pills to equal one of the Dan somas,I get my pharmacy to order them for me. The man. of them is Actav like I said they have DAN on one side and 5513on the other.
.
Yes there is a difference I don't care what anyone says the ones with Dan on them works so much better you must have never tried the Dan somas.
Yes there is a difference I don't care what anyone says the ones with Dan on them works so much better you must have never tried the Dan somas. I have my local pharmacy order them for me.Some pharm. Will order them for you they are a little higher priced, but they are worth it.I suffer from dystonia and a lot of other problems and the DAN somas are the best I think.
Watson brand 350 mg ....dan/5513 imprinted on tablet. Through my last 10 to 12 years these have been consistently the best generic for me. I have been having problems with local drug stores changing generics very frequently, therefore I have times of no relief. My problem was solved with my pain management/rehab dr. writing on the prescription Watson brand and my mail order ensures that is what I received. The local pharmacies are no longer able to order what your physician wants... They are mandated to only provide what their big box company provides nationally.
The v2410 work the best by far. There is no comparison with the others.
I have been taking soma for 20 yrs until now I can't find A DR TO rite for them anymore , in my experience the Danbury are the best hands down, they are made by Watson but they are better than the ones that say Watson on them
The SG 109 generics are no better than aspirin if even that and the CVS Pharmacists tried to tell me there was no difference between what I took before and what I was taking now! The 2410 V was much better by far!
Watson is the brand that works the best for me, and it is the strongest of all brands I've tried. Whether or not you eat makes all the difference.
I have been on some for a long time I prefer Watson to any other even over the name brand
Re: UFC (# 5)
Well, does the real 250 mg seem to help your musculoskeletal condition feel better? Is it fast acting on your muscle spasms and does it relax you? I've always received the Soma with the V on it from QUALITEST BRAND. It is the best for the symptoms of the deep muscle pain and spasms that are very painful. I think these other brands are cheaper for the Pharmacies to purchase so the patient gets ripped off in the long run. We are at their mercy and always hoping the medication will help us.
