Can Triamcinolone Treat Rash On Penis

I was given sulfamethoxazole to treat sinus infection. I developed a rash on my penis. Can i use triamcinolone to treat it?

The rash that developed is actually listed as a severe side effect of Sulfamethoxazole. Because it is in this category of severe effects, I highly recommend contacting your doctor about switching medications or adjusting the dose appropriately. The rash will eventually go away if you stop the medication (since Sulfamethoxazole is the source of the problem). So using another medication (such as Triamcinolone) to cover it up may not get rid of it completely or at all, while you are still on Sulfamethoxazole.

In addition to that you need to be very careful using Triamcinolone. It can cause thinning of the skin, typical of steroids and that is a dangerous place to have that happen. Go to the doctor. They have seen it all before. No need to be embarassed.
