Well, I just put a piece of sub in clean urine and it showed up as an opioid. So things have to go thru your body to be safe. So now they're going to send it to a lab and they will know it wasn't in my body.
Why does the government make us patients that have a real problem that needs opioids of some sort make us suffer. The suicide rate and fentanyl and illicit drug overdoses are so high because of the government. Why are they doing this to us humans?
Just like to say tht happend to me with the suboxen showing up and i have never take it in my life i was taking 10mg oxycoddone hcl witch is the pure oxycodone
Yes, if they use the less expensive, non-certified tests, then a false positive is very possible. They have been known to happen on such tests anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time and one opiate has caused false positives for another many, many times.

Have you considered using a different doctor?
Hi Celina,
Interestingly enough, Suboxone (Buprenorphine) has been known to test false positive for Oxycodone. That said, I'm certain it can go both ways.
From my perspective, drug testing facilities like to put the blame on "you" for their own mistake. They define it as a 'false-positive' as opposed to a 'mistake' on their part, to take the liability away from them and back on you, the patient for "taking something you shouldn't have taken".
They have the choice to use better drug testing equipment, such as a gas chromatograph mass spectrometer; which has the ability to distinguish the exact substance in question. They just don't use it as often due to costs, so they would rather take the high risk of displaying a misreading than pay a few extra dollars.
I would see about getting that type of drug test done on the original sample if at all possible. Just so you know, you're not alone on this matter. If every patient tried to dispute their false positive case, there probably wouldn't be anymore drug testing, because millions of people would be trying to take down these doctors and testing facilities.
Hopefully this will change in time as they realize the statistics showing how many people this happens to on a daily basis. These false reports just put too much stress on patients who are simply taking their medications as prescribed.
