I am disabled with lupus and PAC. I was taking oxycodone 10-325 one 4x a day with excellent results. My pain mgmt dr changed me to oxymorphone er 10mg with oxycodone one 2x day for breakthrough. I am having constant pain and have been on oxymorphone for two days. How long until it takes effect? I'm miserable.

What is the current dose you are taking of the Oxycodone? You may not be on an equivalent dosage, there is also a chance that the Opana just doesn't work for you.
The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
