Can Omeprazole Cause Mouth Sores Black In Color

these black bumps appered where i noticed a couple of days ago . i have a metalaic taste food taste terriable. i take other meds too. gabapentin 3 times a day3oomg,metformin 1000mg 2 times a day. lisinopril hctz 10/12.5mg. simvastatin 20mg . all since since 4/24/12. shouild i see my doctor?

I haven't come across any specific details stating whether or not it can cause mouth sores, but Omeprazole is known to cause hives, rashes, itching, and swelling of the face, throat, tongue, & lips. Perhaps a couple of these might be related to your experience?

The few side effects listed here are pretty broad in the sense that there's no telling where one might get a rash or hives. It could also be that you're getting an allergic reaction from one or more inactive ingredients in the pill itself. This would be something to talk to your doctor about so you can pinpoint the problem and make changes to your prescription if necessary.

How long have you been taking Omeprazole with those other drugs before you noticed these black bumps?
