My mom has sores under the plate in her mouth. The clinic has given her Ilvitrim 400g tablets. Is it safe for her to take these together with her co exforge blood pressure tablets? Also with the Ilvitrim she was told to take 2 tablets every 2 hours: that does not sound right to me?

Yes, they can be taken together, as long as her doctor approves. But it may cause an elevation in her potassium level, so her doctor should be monitoring her regularly. And yes, that can be a normal dosage, depending on how severe the infection from sores has become.
The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
It might be best to leave the plate out and for her to only eat soft foods for awhile, to enable the sores to heal.
