Can I Use Triamcinolone Acetone Ointment Usp 0.1% To Traet An Open Pimple Under Trhe Eye Area?

Well I have had this white head under my eye for at least a couple of years,,it has recently in the past few months gotten bigger and harder,,,and showed no sign of going away after contantly cleaning ,,using acne medication and even veryt hot compresses,,,,So what did i do?? Yes i went on a mission to get to the root of it and rid it for good,,,,I gently started putting pressure on it with q tips pressing down and outward,,,finally i had some stuff come out in a string like fashion,,,,,but it still hurt and was clearly still full of stuff,,,so i continues to do the same thinbg over and over and i began to press so hard out of frustration that i did get more and more stuff ton come out,,along with some blood and clear fluids,,,,As a result of trying to finally get rid of this thing >>>I found myself with what was starting tio become swollen lower eyelid and swolleness around the pimple site,,,,Also it is open broken skin,,,,,,and is really sore i did ice it after,,,and started to take an oral antibiotic to avoid infection,,,,,So my question is Can i use this to my benifit The oinment to avoid outside infection as well and improve the recovery time to my appearance?

And no, it would be best to not use Triamcinolone for this type of issue. According to the FDA, it is actually a steroid class medication, so it can actually cause acne, which means you could just end up making things worse. Typical side effects to topical use may include skin irritation, redness and burning.

Have you consulted your doctor? It sounds like you may have a boil and that might require an antibiotic.
