Can I Take These 2 At The Same Time. Reaction?

If I'm taking Nitrofur Macr 100 mg for bladder infection, can I also take valacyclovir Hcl 1 also. Is there a drug reaction? I am getting a cold sore and that is why I have this too. Please advise if I can take both....
