Can I Take Erythromycin While Breastfeeding

I was prescribed erythromycin after I had a root canal in Mexico. But I'm breastfeeding. Is it ok to take a whole dose of erythromycin while breastfeeding? What should I do? My baby is 16 months old.

Yes, the FDA states that it is safe, because only a very tiny amount of it is excreted in breast milk. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash, diarrhea, and headache.
