Can I Take Amox Tr-k Clv 875-125, While Breastfeeding? It's Safe For A 5 Month Old Baby?

I'm nursing my 5 month old baby. I have a real bad sinus infection I'm even loosing my voice. My doc. prescribe me amox tr-k clv 875-125, and he said not to breastfeed for 10 days. My breastfeeding counselor said that its ok to do so. So as you see I am so confuse.

Personally, I would follow the advice of the person who is the medical professional. If your doctor doesn't think you should breast fed while doing so, then you should not do so.

Antibiotics can pass through breast milk and there has been some evidence to show that it can cause children to develop antibiotic resistant bacteria, since they did not have a reason to need the medication.

Thus, it is just safer, for your child and your own piece of mind to not breast feed while on the medication.

I am breast feeding a 7 month baby I had a sore throat my doctor priscribed me AZITROMICINA but i stoped taking the medication because i couldn't cop up with the side effects is there any problem if i breatfeed my baby since i stoped it my breast is full of milk and it is too painful and also my baby is crying all the time .is there any problem if i breastfeed ?
