My grandson was given this medicine for an ear infection, because he was teething. He is teething now and bothering his ear again, the same way from before. The med (amoxicillin) is about 2 months old. Is it ok to give him now?

While teething can, sometimes, cause ear pain, it is usually not indicative of an infection and an antibiotic isn't required, according to the AMA.
Thus, it would be best not to give it to him, unless his doctor confirms that he has an ear infection and requires an antibiotic.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
What types of symptoms is he displaying?
