Hi, I've had my menstrual for over three weeks and ended up being admitted to the hospital because my blood was very low and they had to give me two units of blood. While in the hospital they gave me some estrogen in my iv and my menstrual has lighten up a bit
My doctor said that I'm bleeding so much because i have fibroids. I'm also 47 yeasrs old and had a tubal ligation many years ago .
My doctor has put me on tri sprintec to help with the bleeding and today i picked up the prescription. I'm still bleeding and have no idea whan to start taking the pills. PLEASE HELP!!!!

You can start them at any time, unless your doctor has instructed otherwise. Just don't rely on them to protect against pregnancy, until after taking them for a full 7 days.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and weight changes.

Is there anything else I can help with?
