Can I Take Amox Trk Clv With Nyquil

I was prescribed Amox TR-K CLV 875-125 MG Tab from my doctor, however I still feel the symptoms of the cold. I've also read that Amox does not cure the common cold. Can I take nyquil with the prescribed drug to make these symptoms go away?

That is correct, Amoxicillin with Clavulanic Acid, a generic for Augmentin, is an antibiotic and is not effective at treating a cold, since colds are caused by a virus.

However, many colds do lead to infections, since they can reduce your immunity and some people end up with ear or throat infections. Your doctor may have prescribed it to treat or prevent those, if you've been prone to getting them before.

As to taking Nyquil with it, I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between the two, but you should double check this information to be sure.

You should also be aware that it may worsen certain side effects, such as nausea, dizziness and drowsiness.
