Can I Switch From Pennicilin To Amoxicillin (Top voted first)
UpdatedI was taking penicillin VK 500 mg for a dental problem, prescribed by my primary dentist. The root canal specialist now gave me a prescription for amoxicillin instead of penicillin - is it ok to switch over?

There really shouldn't be a problem with it, it is fairly common to switch from one antibiotic to another, when one isn't working or isn't the right one to treat something, it may even happen if someone has a bad reaction to one.
Learn more Amoxicillin details here.
However, you might want to double check with your doctor just to be certain.
Are there any other questions or comments?
Thank you!
