Can I Keep Talking One Aspirin Prescripe By My Doctor Every Day Went Am Also Ibuprofen For Artritis

I take one aspirin every day as a blood thinner (I'm 64 years old) About a couple of weeks another doctor precribe to me Ibuprofen for my Artritis. Is Ibuprofen a blood thinner as well? Should I keep taking my aspirin every day?

Hi Carmen,

To answer your question, Ibuprofen also has a mild blood thinning effect that lasts a few hours. Possibly not a potent as aspirin's blood thinning effect, but viable enough to function independently of aspirin for that purpose.

One aspirin a day will not harm you regardless of your ibuprofen intake. It may well save your life, however.
