May I cut a hydrocodone M357 tablet in half?

when i take hydrocodone it puts me to sleep and i am sleepy all the next day. is it possible to cut this pill in half and will it still make me sleepy

The answer to your question is Yes, you can cut this pill in half to divide your dose. The main reason I know this is because M357 has a score line going through half of the pill. To my knowledge the score line is there for this specific purpose :)

That is correct, it is not a time released medication and you can cut it in half to lower the dosage.

I had to do so myself, when a dentist prescribed it for an infection and the entire pill was too much and made me very ill.

As a general rule, if the medication is not a time released formulation and there are no instructions saying otherwise, then it can safely be cut in half.
