Can Hydrocodone Apap 5 500mg Tab Cause Joint Pain

my dr prescribed hydrocodone/apap 5-500mg tab 2 every 6hrs I,ve noticed now my hip joints hurt worse ,throbing & keeping me awake

Unfortunately, narcotics such as Hydrocodone can cause joint inflammation in some people that take them. I experienced the same problem, when I was taking Morphine.

I have a compressed joint in my back also have cancer in the lower back. I have been taking vicodin for 20 years now all my joints are hurting and for some reason the doctor will not do anything about this

When I am off my pain meds for a few weeks,I haven't done any housework etc due to pain. When I take them, I clean like crazy for a couple days, and then an gripped with severe pain in my joints, knees especially, and sore muscles. Even taking the meds don't help. I'm stuck on the couch with pain that's worse than before. Did I do too much?

Does this happen each time?
I have the same issue and the knee pain is horrible.
I thought maybe that as I am cleaning, I am doing too much or possibly taking the meds too often while I am cleaning.

I also have found recurrence of knee pain when taking hydrocodone. I had more knee pain over the years that I had been getting cortisone shots for the knee when I was taking hydrocodone for the stenosis in my back. The knee pain returned quickly until a year ago after I have changed to 72 hour fentanyl patches for my back. After getting a shot in my knee it had been pain free for a full year until last month when I had to take hydrocodone trying to get back in town to get a root canal done on a tooth. But now my knee is fully inflamed. I have quit taking the pills and hope the knee pain will subside. But try moving to the transdermal patches instead of taking pills all the time. The pain management is so much better

I was given hydrocodone/5 acetaminophen for tooth pain before getting my root canal. I have NEVER had any pain anywhere in my body until i took that drug. Now both knees hurt so bad, its hard to get up or down. One knee had a big lump on the side. My back also started hurting and it too hurts when I stand up. This came on suddenly and at the same time when i took hydrocodone. I hope it goes away but so far, no change. I've been off of it for 2 weeks and only took 9 pills total.
