Can Hydrocodone/acetaminophen Cause Sleeplessness

I have 2 problems at L 3 & 4 & can't see the spinal surgeon until 31 Oct. My primary physician gave me the Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen for pain & sleep. Instead of sleep I am totally wired. I haven't had one second of sleep in the last 4 nights.

Yes, it can cause that in some people that take it, though it isn't common, the FDA does list it as being possible. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. This medication also carries the risk of being habit forming.

Have you informed your doctor? You may need to try a different medication.
