I have been taking doxycycl hyc 100mg for about 2 yrs now. I have also had ringing of the ear about that long. Just wondering if the doxycycl hyc could be the cause of my ringing of the ear?

Hi Kim,
According to Harvard Medical School, Doxycycline is one of many drugs that can cause or worsen tinnitus. Apparently it damages the nerve cells/hairs that send and receive signals to and from the brain.
