Can Betamox Be Used For Insect Bites

an insect bit me on the leg. i do not know what kind of insect it was. the sister at the clinic gave me betamox 500mg tablets and allergex cream. is it safe to use?

Betamox contains the active ingredient Amoxicillin, which is an antibiotic that's used to treat or prevent bacterial infections. Since you don't know what kind of insect it was, that's most likely why you were told to take this, to prevent infection.

Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
