Camber Pharmaceuticals Generic Percocet (Page 23) (Top voted first)

Updated

Just got Camber Pharm generic Percocet at Walgreens instead of the Actavis brand. It's giving me an upset stomach and causing me to feel weird. Has anyone else had a similar reaction?

Re: Bella (# 246) Expand Referenced Message

Oh my gosh Bella. I'M so very sorry. I had a myleogram 7 years ago and it shut my body down. The next 5hing I knew, I had code blue all around me.,That's when I discovered I was allergic to dyes and iodine. I firmly believe the dyes on my T194 Percocet ( camber) 10 mg... We're so posion to me. They were suppose to be light yellow but my doctor confirmed that the different colors in the consistency. Some were almost white. I was told that it appeared the dye wasn't even mixed correctly. My stomach is still so very bad. All I smell is vinegar these days because I can't get the smell out of my nose and mind. I've got 20 left in my lockbox ( thank gosh) if I ever need to produce them to the correct people, but I'm sorry u went through that. I will never take another pull from them as long as I live. I cannot believe I can't eat my normal food still. Been back on actavis for a while now. Those camber turned a bright orange when wet and no score on them at all. I hope u are ok...

I wonder how my pharmacist was able to order my actavis 3 weeks ago if this happened? Everything seems so strange doesent It? They evidently got a fresh bottle from somewhere.

Re: nomas (# 232) Expand Referenced Message

Nomas, I forgot to add in my post that camber has an an office in NJ. as u said but evrtytime I have called that office, I can only get people from India to speak with. It makes me truly wonder if that's just an office that receives them from India. I sure may be wrong but how can an American made medication do the harm it did to me and many of us. I honestly don't think my stomach will ever get better. My dinner,... sugar free vanilla ice cream. All this is so messed up and we the disabled, chronically ill, in major chronic pain should be the first to know anything about this.

I forgot, are you back on the Actavis? I know my stomach was still acting up. Something I'm doing that might help yo -. Buy some fresh ginger. You can keep it in the freezer, take some out and in about 10 minutes cut some slices (ahead of time); put a couple in your tea or just hot water with honey and let it steep. There are all kinds of instructions on the net. Google "Health benefits of Fresh Ginger" and there are a lot of links. Very good for your stomach. I'm feeling better after about 4 days of using it. Also, curcumin (turmeric) is very good for inflammation. Maybe some milk thistle for your liver. Anyhow, hope it helps. If you have Trader Joe's (or any market) near you, they sell little packs of it.

I TOOK THIS OFF ANOTHER MEDSCHAT POST. WE ARE SCREWED BIG TIME...

10Tommy Says:

"I got a report from someone who works for the FDA and they are working with the DEA & Rhodes to cut up to 70% of the opioid in generic Percocet since they are the most abused medicine. They plan to discontinue use of opioids altogether by the year 2021 -Only hospitals will be able to give you opioids. All the complaints, I was told are useless because this is the plan that's been going on since 2014. You can read more of the report I put on MedsChat titled, "Percocet Generic Report On Phasing Out Opioids By The Year 2021". I was shocked at what the FDA along with the DEA are doing behind the backs of the sick people. I will say in the report Rhodes Pharmaceuticals are cutting a 10mg generic Percocet to 4% & a 5mg are 2% of the active ingredient. Also putting toxic fillers that hurt your stomach to make ppl not want to take Percocet at all. I was wondering after reading all the complaints against Rhodes Pharmaceuticals that nothing is being done to investigate this company & other wrongdoers. Hope you get to read what's in the report. And they say America is the land of the free?"

Did u get a large packet from Fed ex? Why would they even take the time with phone numbers, addresses, and my original complaint. It looks like a medical record. I don't understand st all.

Re: Jen (# 277) Expand Referenced Message

That's the thing. It's not emails I got from them. I wrote, I've explained and they even told me not to take the drug anymore in a letter through the postal mail. My packet is from FedEx. Said to show it to my doctor and pharmacist so I would get another brand and not theirs. I'm sorry if I have made some of you upset. It's not emails from them. It's papers and letters from postal mail.

Re: Lildarlin (# 306) Expand Referenced Message

Thank you for updating me. I'm so glad I found medschat and people to validate my concerns. I had a late afternoon therapy (just started recently to help deal with some of this) appt. and was running late this morning. I didn't have time to respond. Lots of questions I want to ask you but too exhausted tonight. For one, I was wondering if he ever described any of your condition as a nodule? Did he recommend any treatment at this point. Anyhow, the MRI was a good move but as the radiologist said, an endoscopy is required for full diagnosis. Plus, I need the MRI for other reasons. I'm glad that I kept those pills. Mine are the 5-325's with blue speckles. Thanks for your kind words and talk to you soon. {edited for privacy}

Re: Morc (# 315) Expand Referenced Message

Please stop taking medicine that gives you bad effects. You can always change the meds to plain oxycodone made by another manufacturer and buy Tylenol separately. The doctor just has to require you to take pain meds separately and insurance should cover it. Some people change because of allergies to Tylenol as well.

Re: Marv (# 337) Expand Referenced Message

Thanks Marv. Not true, but I still like it... ; )

One thing the non chronic pain sufferer does not get. There is no high from our meds, unless one is abusing them. The high the non users feel from pain meds, after surgery, or teeth procedures, is because they have built no tolerance, such as we have because of continued use. For the long time user, we need no deterent built in, because THERE IS NO HIGH! NOW it may be useful for the teenager stealing mom, dads, or grandma's pain med. But, only for them, abusers. By tweaking our meds, to include anti-abuse ingredients, they are causing legit patients needless suffering. Either the meds are not working, or they are making us sick.

Percentage-wise, what effect is this tactic having? None. Absolutely ZERO. Abusers will still abuse. Maybe not opioids, but they will find something to abuse for that fleeting high. The greatest effect is had for the politicians and legislators. They have something to point to as their evidence of action in the war on "drugs". See how I've helped the druggies? Yep, we're see'in it. In the meantime our bed sores are getting bigger, we're getting fatter due to lack of activity. We are crankier, and become more of a burden on those we love. And....horror of horrors, we are now *gasp* taking an extra half or maybe even whole pill because of weaker meds, or because of an anti-abuse ingredient. Or because we threw up the pill we just took. Abusers will abuse, always have, always will. Nothing new under the sun. We just happen to be living THIS war. The doctors, legislators, insurance companies, are the new enemy, and like the Civil War, it is brother against brother, neighbor against neighbor. As a people, in general, we all have the same needs medically speaking. At differing levels and different times in our lives, but we no longer have the art of natural remedy, though there is great progress being made. But still, we rely on the medical community, though now, that profession is being dictated to by the government.

There, that's my rant. Gonna just shut up for now.You all have probably seen enough from JMJ. Best wishes!

Re: Rawdog (# 346) Expand Referenced Message

My system and pain issues do not respond well to Vicodin. It has little or no effect. I’ve never taken morphine, and seriously doubt my doctor would allow me to have it. She’s really paranoid about prescribing ANY narcotic pain meds because of all the overdoses and deaths from STUPID people. It’s a darn shame that those of us who DO NOT abuse our pain meds are paying the price for those who DO!

Re: Kathi (# 356) Expand Referenced Message

The number you gave for Camber Pharmaceutical is 1-866-495-1995 is that not right? Also I find it kind of weird that this guy from India was asking all those personal questions I'd be hesitant on giving such personal info out like that just seems odd!! And I can't believe Walgreens said they would not order another med for you even if you were willing to pay more for the name brand that also seems fishy especially when you've been going there for years I'd be furious. Good thing you called Walgreens corporate even tho I've heard stories that they won't do anything about it. They protect their own there. They have their pharmacist's back 100% so your complaint will probably go by the way-side. I only say that because I did the same thing about 5yrs back and the guy from the complaint dept. basically said that exact thing to me, although I hope I'm wrong for everyone's sake. And if you don't mind me asking how did you get your doc to write you something else and what did he change it to? I'm surprised CVS even filled it for you after seeing that you just filled a couple days ago for a narcotic at Walgreens you must of gotten REALLY lucky!! Please keep me posted on what's going on. Thanx for all your info and hang in there.

MeJane (# 359) --

Absolutely! I thought it was just me. Thank you all for speaking out. 20 years ago I had great Dr’s who took me under their wing. Introduced me to opiate MANAGED pain mgmt. I was able to walk again with a positive tolerable attitude until approx 5 mos ago. I felt a distinct change in affect of my percocet; generics as it is odd the brand cannot be had by my pharmacy or any pharmacy I’ve tried. Seems abruptly with this I’ve felt sick with either stomach & respiratory ailments. I’ve been tested, re-tested. Dr’s say I’m ok but all must be related to the new formulation of this pain med percocet, yet still no definitive answer.

Is Camber Pharmaceuticals (10-325) Oxycodone/Acetaminophen a legitimate pharmaceutical for pain management? Why all of a sudden did my pharmacy start dispensing these, just recently? I know McKesson will get the cheapest for pharmacies to increase profit margins. Common sense. Would it mean that most pharmacies here in OAHU, Hawaii probably carrying the same?
